Lower Tail gate opening too low

Hi All,

Grateful for any help/advice on how to adjust how far the lower tailgate opens. I have noticed that the lower tail gate opens too low (in that the hinge flap sits high with a gap between it and the tail gate). It looks to me like it is opening too far/low. In all other aspects it opens and closes properly. I am wondering if there is a cable adjustment or similar that can be done? 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel

Cant help with the cable adjustment question, but thought it might be worth saying that the carpeted side of the lower tail gate should be horizontal/flat when opened. The cover flap is spring loaded, but if the springs have weakened it may not hold itself down properly and be the real issue here. Sorry if this was all obvious to you and you've already ruled all that out. Mike - MPx

Hi Mike, that's actually a good point. So the first thing I need to do is have a look at the tail gate side on and see if it is basically parallel with the ground I guess? 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel
