Parking sensor light flashing and sensors not working

Hi all

Is there a way to find a faulty parking sensor please? Mine have stopped working and the light on the centre console is flashing. I don’t have a GAP tool but is that the only way?

With ignition on and the engine NOT running, engage R. Then try to listen to each one of the sensors. They emit a faint pulsating sound. The one or ones not doing so is/are either faulty or somehow disconnected from the circuit.
A chafed wire could be the culprit.

Have a search. There are a couple of quite detailed threads covering the parking sensors. However, plugging the old girl in has to be your first port of call, otherwise you'll be guessing even more than normal! Very Happy Bish.
