Am now waiting for delivery of my new Van same again just a 2021 model. Got to wait till October for delivery. The Navara was a 3.0 V6 and made ligt work tugging the Van so am expecting the TDV8 4.4 to be great my old TD6 was good if a little under powered. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

Jayk69 I had an X5 before the TDV8 4.4 which has the same engine as the TD6, it pulled the twin axle fine, you had to think a little in advance of hills but she was great.
The 4.4 TDV8 is simply on a different planet, I cannot put into words what she's like pulling a twin axle 'van, I still stick to 60-65mph but getting there is so effortless it's untrue. Drops a gear every now & again going up inclines but that's about it. She'll sit comfortably in 8th gear at 60-65mph on the main roads & also feels well planted on the road. Enjoy towing with her! 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

All grubby just back from a week in Normandy. Only casualty was the windscreen!! 🙄 nice too big to repair stone chip to the top.

The FF performed without incident or complaint, which was a surprise as every time I took the l322 over something went iffy.

Thought the van was a bit choppy on the way back through France, pretty much no weight on the nose 🤣, will Chuck some stuff up front for The trip back home….. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Spending time in France near Bergerac. Temperature is ridiculous and makes it difficult to leave the caravan or car. Thank goodness for remote A/C or we’d never get in the car.

We just visited St Emillion to grab some lunch and managed to park very close to the Cathedral. We walked about 50m to the doors of the Cathedral and couldn’t believe that it was so hot. Inside it was only 35 degrees but felt cool by comparison. We ate outside under parasols but it was very uncomfortable. Remotely started the car and made our way back up the very steep walkway back to the Cathedral. By the time we got back to the car I was good for nothing but the AC had done the necessary inside and it was wonderful all the way back to the caravan and the AC within.

Quite right with the Baileys, since they did away with the front locker complete with gas bottles, etc.
We have to load ours up at the front as well.
Normal loading results in virtually no nose weight at all, although it gives you more room at the front of the caravan internally. 1968 Series IIA Pastel Green, nearly there project

Just put the gauge on ours, with a bit of gear under the rear bed and the general pots and pans etc but no other stuff in the van I had less than 50kg on the gauge. So needs another 40kg at least up front!

as you say, no front locker with nice heavy gas bottles in it. I’ve moved all my pitch up stuff to the front side locker and the cadac fits nicely in there as well, so I’m up to about 65kg, when I put the awning on the floor between the front seats and a couple of other bits and bobs it gets me to about 90kg, will just require some attention. My old Lunar was just always nose heavy so it was never an issue. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

My mate has a Baily he has to load the front up too just to get a bit of weight there. Awning seems to help on that front 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current
