It works but as you can see it looks like it has frost or something on it, the outside of the lens is clean and shiny so not etched, There is no evidence of condensation inside, it's been like this since I bought it and always the same... The yellow lines look in focus so maybe it's a dirty lens inside...

Are these later cameras serviceable, can you take them apart for cleaning..??

Any other ideas..?

If I were to guess, it has condensation inside the lens, because you have no camera feed issue.

I took one apart once and the lens and sensor were all an integral single part so, I think you'd need to change the entire camera PCB inside the assembly.

However, it may be worth taking the opportunity to perform a mod with a better camera. Fit an aftermarket camera hidden on the drop tailgate. The car just takes a standard camera feed so, is easy to splice into. It's permanently live so, if night vision, will need infrared lights with a light sensor otherwise, there will be visible light around the camera all the time. If you have a tow bar, you'd also be able to see it from that angle. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

You can set PAL or NTSC through the infotainment system.

When I fitted an aftermarket camera on my old car (here's the link: https://amzn.eu/d/hwtVpt8 ), it was just a cheap fix I did - I siliconed that camera adjacent to the factory one and it worked fine.

Pete, what camera system do you have? Just a reverse camera or a full visual kit?

It's got the vision pack so 5 cameras, blind spot, High beam assist etc...

Ahh, so then you have an Uber expensive camera then Pete… And not replaceable with an aftermarket cheapie!

I’ve never tried to strip a high end camera before! Have done with the cheap 4 wire type. Just not with yours!

The yellow line is superimposed and not part of the camera itself.

Well I got it apart and it looks like someone had been playing before as the internal rubber seal had been badly fitted and was pulling the lens away from the camera, a bit of reseating and all seems well...

Maybe not HD but good enough to reverse to
