God bless you ma'am. You will be much missed by many. All I've ever know is Queen Elizabeth 2nd.

Feel proud to have served as a member of the royal household way back in those innocent 70s, and the vibrant cheerful helpful community of people who, like myself, walked proud as a lion to serve her majesty, who we were told if ever meeting her to greet as 'ma'am as in spam' and certainly not 'your majesty'.

Loved walking the grand art galleries way before they were made public as now. Hearing Prince Philip DofE cuss the flyover at the Privy Purse for being "Bloody late again!" while wearing a bearskin and togs, to everyone's amusement. Deliberately not stirring the fresh daily milk in the churns in the dairy, and ladling the cream top for ourselves, before anyone else was able to. Plus the household dining area was second to none, and fresh kippers aplenty for early arrivals. And the Clarence House visits to empty the telephone money boxes (yeah) and the old queen mum asking for some cash (not me personally) so she could buy a few stouts or put on a bet...

And more...

But this was WAY before the planet went crazy just some years ago - a time when people were friendlier and not so insane as now.

Have a good journey ma'am...

Is anyone planning to dress their FF for the funeral? If so what are your plans?

My thoughts were black flags over Union Jacks……. appropriate do you think ?

All Feedback welcome. TDV8 4.4 2012

My RR was parked close, but instead I opted to dress myself for HMQ in order to salute the most awesome woman I've ever met.

France 2007 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Queen Elizabeth embodied (for me) the dignity of the British people. The last of the true constitutional monarchs that yielded the ability to make and pass legislation to the elected Parliament. They were the binding factor for their countries. As a Dutchman I grew up in the Netherlands and we had our Dutch Queen and we respected her and her Family. Queen Elizabeth has been the impartial Sovereign like Queen Juliana and Beatrix were for the Netherlands. May she rest in peace, she will be deerly missed.

Sadly enough the "modern" version of monarchy has nothing left of the dignity, the binding factor and the love and care for the nation.
A Sovereign no longer has a political or executive role, but they could play an essential part in the life of the nation. and now Queen Elizabeth is replaced with her son, King Charles III, who is by no means neutral and has become an activist for Klaus Schwab and pushing forward his Great Reset.

What a sad, sad day.
