The signature audio seems now to be available only on SV, i.e. not even as an option on the AB. That is really poor. While I enjoyed the test drive of the (D350 HSE) P460 it wasn't THAT much better than my L405 5.0SC and even without this change there are some shortcomings. So no order from me until matters improve.
When I started this thread in January I would not have believed the wait would continue in October.
I had my now monthly chat with my salesman and still no info. He has a letter Rawden Glover saying that the Meridian is the big problem but their may be other hold ups.
Should I have ordered the DBX or a Bentaga.
I just checked out the Land Rover section on Pistonheads, and people are talking about new orders and delivery times with the optimism that many of us showed after putting our deposits down over a year ago.
The delays really are extraordinary aren't they. I'd love to get a sense of how many cars have actually been built, and are just sitting somewhere (inside / outside even?!) waiting for the Meridian part or whatever else. How healthy is it to take delivery of a car which was built - say - 2 years ago and has been gathering dust for this long?
Just note the year the tyres were manufactured.... imagine taking delivery of a brand new car with 4 year old tyres on it!!! I'm 1 year in still waiting.....
I’m fortunate that I don’t need a big 4x4 so I’ve got something completely different. I managed to get a dealer demonstrator that will be great fun until Range Rover problems calm down. It’s interesting though that, although there are waits of up to 2 years, the Porsche dealer I have used for many years are still able to forecast at least the quarter in which the car will be built.

I ordered my 992 before the FF. It is allegedly being built this month for delivery soon, ish maybe possibly.
I have told both salesmen it is a race to see which comes first.
My wife ordered a chair from John Lewis and was told 22 weeks, they contacted her to say delayed by 2 weeks, yesterday morning she got a text to say delivery between 12 and 2, latter she got a phone call to say it was not coming.
It is Brexit, covid, the wrong kind of leaves on the tracks.

My 992 Cab was ordered in April Dixy, still no news whatsoever.
This is in addition to the two FFRR I've ordered, plus 2 x G Class...... None of the dealers have given me any indication regarding delivery or build dates yet, so it's not exclusively a JLR issue.
Of course, I won't keep all of these cars, just keen to see which ones deliver first.
As for the Brexit, Covid excuses, I'm not sure about that...... I simply thought everything was now made in the Ukraine!
