10 years maintenance (Front dismantled)

Dear fatties,
After 10 years of loyal service and 125.000 km I'll take some preventive maintenance works in my 2011 TFV8 FFRR.
Motor oil, diffs, transfer, steering flush, filters, steering and coolant reservoirs, new hood dampers, front suspension arms...
Brake pads and drum pads also changed. I've been thinking to paint the calipers. I've ordered the RR decals.
Also need coolant, I read the LR note LM303-001 that recommend Glysantin G48 (bluegreen), have anyone experience with this?
Dismantled the front I bought all belts and pulleys included the famous LR022810 and the water pump. A friend discharged the HVAC system.
Some parts are a little rusted (bolts, subframe, pulleys...) and restore them but all in good shape.
Nuts and bolts sent to plating.
I designed the tools to extract the fan, if anyone need I send the file to laser cut...
I leave you some photos of the process...

Are you sure about the coolant? That engine was originally filled with G30 OAT, no silicates. G48 is HOAT with silicates. It's not recommended to mix the two and even if you double flush the coolant system with de-ionised water, it may have a detrimental effect on the seals.
G30, G33, G34, G40, G44 should all be compatible with each other.

That is the question! This is the technical bulletin I mentioned:

Looking at the picture of your engine it looks like a 4.4 TDV8.

That technical bulletin you reference is from 2004 so there’s a chance the coolant changed throughout the years.

What Phoenix says is correct about your required grade of coolant.

As David says, it's from 18 years ago when there was a choice of coolant (BMW engines and then Jag engines.)

The 2011 TDV8 4.4L uses the pink coolant.

great job by the way. Wish I could do that with mine!

G48 (HOAT) would be the BMW specified coolant, the LION platform engines TDV6 2.7, 3.0 & TDV8 3.6, 4.4 litre were PSA / Ford designed so would use G30 OAT, which was the default coolant at the time across PSA /Ford /Ford PAG platforms.
I've also got a feeling that the TSB referred to supercharged engines but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Ah yes, the vehicle specifications booklet - I've still got a well-thumbed hardcopy somewhere!

Updates…
After prime and spent some cans of paint in front subframe, rust resurfaced.
Finally subframe goes to sandblasted…

Intake plenum cleaning... tedious task, I hate the bitumen that stains everything...

Intervention in the oil cooler, changed the two O-rings and I´ve ordered a new cooler. Hopefully with this the oil leaks will be solved since I´d not like to continue disassembling more parts...

I'm thinking of applying the same paint treatment to the engine subframe, but I'm wondering how to temporarily hold it down. For L405 there is a tool but I wonder if the sidepods of L322 are prepared to support the weight, if you can advise me it would be very useful before making a decision.

I would LOVE to take the front of my car off in order to change everything on the front of the engine.

But I fear it’s way to complicated for me.

Well done on your work.
