Anyone come across this scenario previously?

Very recently replaced both the vehicle and remote key batteries at the same time. After this, I now can lock from some distance but have to be right on top of the vehicle to unlock which is a right pain sometimes.

FYI- Previously I could lock and unlock from 5-10 metres from the vehicle. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini Black with black interior and glass

Did you replace the batteries with Duracell?. It has been quite well documented that only Duracell work perfectly.

Hi Ian, I bought a two pack of Duracell batteries for mine, and the first battery was only half charged and didn't work, the second one worked fine. Might be worth trying another battery.

I have 2 spare batteries so I will swap it out for another new one and see 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini Black with black interior and glass

The ones I've had from the stealer recently have all been Varta. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

Some shots in the dark:

1) I would try a new pack of Duracells from a supermarket so you have a different batch and guaranteed genuine.

2) Check the car battery. If it is ageing perhaps the cold is getting to it?

3) Are your new batteries Duracell CR 2032?. The CR 2025 is the same diameter but 0.7mm thinner and lower mAh. They are both 3V so sometimes interchangeable/confused. If you used the CR2025 the connection might be slightly less robust resulting in the problem you are having....

Make sure you wipe both sides of the battery with a cloth or similar, fingerprints are a bit greasy and hinder the flow of current.
Why do I know this?
Mhhhm, I tried a set of four batteries with the same results as you, then I got the "cleaning" hint, tried it and bang, everything worked.

Worth mentioning, there are a lot of fake batteries out there, especially on the large internet stores.
I have had several issues with watch coin batteries being a “good” make but failing to last or even DOA.
Very frustrating, as some watches are very fiddly to keep re-opening and remain waterproof.
Supermarkets are probably better, and OEM Retail packaging helps.
Cheap price usually means fake.

CAVEAT EMPTOR.  V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!

duracell batterys now have a clear film on them that tastes bad to children that may put them in their mouth
if you did a quick swap you may not have noticed this and left it on!!
