As I said before, it is NOT advised to jack on a suspension arm, the arm moves through an arc when jacked, it also leaves the whole corner under compression, it is very easy for the jack to slip off, this can damage parts of the car or even worse parts of you if you happen to be in the way when it lets go, it will not give any warning, it just spits the jack out...

Yes, Don't be like me, on boxing day i got crushed by mine, luckily neighbour heard me, ended up with just a smashed face, and All of my ribs broken, VERY VERY scary. |

Yikes - was that with a trolley jack or the scissor jack from the boot ? |

Was with trolley jack, but with the motion on the spanner, it rocked off, i had axle stands too, but they just fell over, my drive is not straight. |

The ones I have seen have a mechanical lock to prevent it dropping unexpectedly... |
