I have noticed a groaning (sounds a bit like when you let brakes off when moving slowly) when I drop my daughters off to school and the suspension drops to access height. Seems only to be on the nearside.

Should I worry - its still under warranty?

Ive noticed my mates 67 plate RR sport does the same thing!

Any knocking from the suspension on uneven road surfaces?

I had the same thing and also had some knocking over speed bumps etc and roll bar bushes cured mine 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ

As above anti roll bar bushes and drop links ball joints are possible causees, also on a 322 you can get a tiny bit of groaning when all is well if you drop to access height when the steering is turned over to full lock. Would imagine a 405 can do the same.

Try it without the park brake on and no foot brake. Also do it on the level and in neutral. Does it do it then? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

No knocking at all its perfect whilst driving.

I dont think it does it when I put it in park.

It seems only to be when its in drive and I have my foot brake.

I expect that is the pads getting pulled down the disc as the car lowers, as it lowers the wheels need to move a fraction in relation to each other, in park the brakes aren't on...

Next time it does it try pressing the brake pedal harder as it is doing it, it will probably stop...

Or try putting the handbrake on and putting the gearbox in neutral, I bet it doesn't do it then either...  Pete
