Dumb question

OK so I'm going to ask....

What's the impact of having worn lower suspension arms? What benefit would you feel having them replaced? 2018 P400e AB LWB

Not a daft question at all…..
It’s the rubber bushes that wear and allow more play in the joints, allowing an amount of vagueness to creep into the handling and composure and steering of the vehicle.
Replacing them returns the car to a sharper feel of handling.
If left too long, you will get knocking and thumping eventually, and of course, its an MOT fail, so if you have an advisory, its better to get them changed before the next MOT.
Most people seem to just change the whole arm rather than mess about with a press and change just the bushes. I ‘ve not done it myself, but will be this Summer, so I’d be interested to see how you get on. Thumbs Up “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

It will also wear your tyres out unevenly and effects braking and steering so if they are showing signs of wear it's false economy to leave them....

I changed just the bushes on my first 322 (similar arms) and I'd never do it again... it's just not worth it especially if your paying for labour... Thumbs Up Pete

I had mine replaced entirely and I now the car feels like it leans and wallows less. I just wanted to double check it wasn’t bias on my part or my imagination, especially as the difference is fairly subtle (it’s not exactly turned in to a GT3 RS) 2018 P400e AB LWB

Did you get a wheel alignment done, and is it really neccessary?
My thoughts are that it shouldn’t be because there’s no adjustment to it?
I’m doing mine this Summer, so just wanted to be sure I do it properly…. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

The mechanic did a test drive for 10 min and concluded no alignment was necessary. Was offered to me regardless if I felt strongly one way or another but for £150 + VAT I thought I’d trust the mechanic! So far the car feels fine 2018 P400e AB LWB
