I can’t imagine it needs coding to the car, but perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me like Phoenix can advise. Still not a cheap fix at £75-£100 used, so I’d wait for a bit more feedback here before you commit to it, there may be other advice, I’m no expert on this subject, just trying to help. It should just connect & work - it's just an interface / media converter.

Thanks - I can see a new one for sale on ebay but I am a little unsure on how easy it is to remove the old one and replace with the new one - the unit feels like it would just pull out but I am assuming there is going to more to it than that.

It does just clip in - but - the harness doesn't have any slack in it to allow full access to the connectors, so you need to remove a few bits, about 20 mins from memory but it's been a few years since I changed one.

Hi - sorry for being stupid but what did you mean by this? have a look under body & paint for 'Floor console upper section R&I' that will get you access to the connectors. |
