Out of all the vehicles I've ever owned, and there's been a few, the 2 I wish I had kept.

G4 discovery 2, was offered to buy back but it had been abused while away.

And My half moon dash ford Sierra gls, was a better all-rounder than my cossy, never thought I'd say that 🤷‍♂️ Remember:- amateurs built the ark

My old Audi coupe Quattro - what a car that was, just couldn’t really afford to maintain it at the time Sad

I read this post and you have me wondering now, as I have been thinking of selling my F10 M5 too. I have had it just over 5 years and with having my L322, I can't justify buying something else unless a car goes. But the fear is that the M5 will be irreplaceable. I have owned it from 13k miles. Just 50k on it now. Market on them is funny as prices online seem to be £20-28k.
The one I did part with that I regret has to be my Prodrive STi Impreza 2007. Car handled like it was on rails.

I sold a nice E28 528i I bought for £800 for about £600 when it needed too much welding for the MoT. It had mint blue leather //M sport seats which are probably worth a couple of grand alone now. I had no money at the time to keep it going, it was just another old banger I ran on a shoestring. Would be a proper classic BMW now. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue

Scotland 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Stornoway Grey

I've been lucky to have had some nice cars so far but by far my favourite was my 2001 E39 530d Sport in Topaz Blue.

What a machine.
The only reason I moved it on was because I was given my first company car.
I said goodbye to it at 129,000 miles and it went on until 274,914 miles and was last on the road in 2016.

I still look at the E39 and think it was peak BMW and the last of the "shark" style 5 series.
I would never take one on though, I think it would be difficult to find a clean one that's not been abused. ---------------------------------

The thing is if you keep them you have to have space. I have a bad habit of not selling mine and now I have several projects all in various states of repair and a shed that is getting smaller and smaller because of it.

That said, if I was to sell anyone of the basic cars I have I wouldn't lose money on any of them which is a rare enough thing to say! Current yokes

7 years after LR stopped building the D4, I still can’t get my head around the fact they replaced it with the D5.

I know the Defender is probably the automatic replacement but I don’t think it’s as good an allrounder as the D4 and comes with a hefty price tag.
