Bevinsee H7

Anybody upgraded their full beam to Bevinsee bulbs? Bought them but can’t get them to fit in my 07 SE! I could be missing a clip to hold the bulb in place, but saying that, my fingers are not that long to push the bulb home! My H7 has the long plastic adapter to place the bulb!!
Bulbs in question are V55 H7 LED,
Think they probably fit the face lift model…………………..

Hi, I did just that couple of weeks ago, -07 TDV8, there´s a metal plate that locks the original bulb in place that you need to modify. I took some metal of with dremel so that the plate can be installed between the Bevinsee ring and chassis.

Take the plastic stick away as you can´t use it and connect the Bevinsee connector directly to the connector that´s at the end of the plastic stick.

Otherwise quite straightforward, just need some filling for the electronic box that it doesn´t rattle around the headlight. -07 Stornoway Gray TDV8

Straight fit on my 2011 so I guess there's some slight differences....although my LED bulb does sit at a slight angle off vertical. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

What did everyone do with the dongle/ballast thing attached to them?

Did you secure it inside the headlamp or leave it outside?

A it has a kind of heatsink I wondered if it was heat sensitive and was better off in the engine bay... If inside, how to fix it? Wonder if it'll survive bouncing around or worse, will it damage the wiring inside the headlight...

Ah, yeah, I found the video now, couldn't see it last night when I looked! Smile

I'm not convinced it's great to leave them just flopping about tbh, I think I'll add a patch of 3m VHB and stick them down!
