ok will start with the front of the engine wash down with brake cleaner.
Is it the case then just wash away with water ?
My son uses a Karcher diesel steam cleaner in his business so would it be ok to use this after the brake cleaner has done its work ?

The brake cleaner will just wash the oil off and it will drip down under the car so just make provision for that. No need to wash it off as it will evpourate so don't do it in an enclosed space. Never liked steam cleaning in engine bays as the water gets into the electical connectors. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
