Based on this thread it would seem that TDV6 crank failures are not as common as you would believe based on the noise on the internet about them. I would have expected to see far more reports of failure on this thread, but great to see that is not the case. |

The six cylinder Ingeniums don’t seem to be anything like as bad as the older four cylinder ones. Nice engine too. |

My reading of your results is that rule of thumb is 2:1 of aluminium to silicone and you're below this limit, so is not of concern yet.
