What should be correct PSI for 255/50/R20 Nokian A/T tires?

I have 20" wheels and 255/50/R20 Nokian Outpost APT tires.

I checked tire pressure today and to my surprise it was set to 30PSI for front and 36 - for rear. The sticker (below) says that it should be 36 for front and 44 for rear.

Wanted to check with the community - is it OK to set 44PSI with these Nokian tires for rear wheels? Nokian's site does not say anything but other tire shops list 51PSI as max inflation pressure.

My lable from my 2012 UK TDV8 L322 below, 33F 36R, although I run mine about 31F 33R on my 255/50 x 20s as it's slightly more comfortable on our crappy roads.

Maybe US tyres are different compounds requiring higher pressures, but does seem a bit hard.

I'm guessing your lable is for fully loaded pressures, not normal driving ones which are probably quite a bit less.

I suspect those pressures in the pic are for when the car is fully loaded with 5 people + their luggage. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

That's what I think too, but does this apply to my case as well?

If you have 5 people in the car + luggage then yes. If not use the lower figures as suggested by Andy. If you are going off-road with AT tyres you can lower them even more to improve grip. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

What would be recommended pressure for off-road driving if 'road' is basicially small rocks/dirt and does not have sand?

I'm not sure to be honest because the 50 profile sort of limits the bead hold. We used to take our P38s down to 15 in Dubai for sand but they were on 255/60 x 18s but drove with out too much hard cornering on the dunes.

On a 50 profile I'd be worried about going less than 20 for fear or the tyre coming off the bead.
