Yes it is spring loaded to the opertional position, ie down so should drop. It will be seized and with the tow bar deployed you shoud be able to free it with gradual rocking. They seize really easily. |

Yes - mine normally drops down as the tow ball does & it then gets pushed back up when it's stowed. |

Had the same with mine that I picked up a few weeks ago. A liberal application of WD40 to the pivot of the socket for a few days freed it up. |

I am planning to mount an original LR deployable towbar (not the electrical foldable) on my 2017 SDV8 L405 I was wondering if I do need the body control module VPLGT0204? My car has the deployable side step option so I think I don't need it. The strange thing is that one dealer calculated this module and another dealer didn't.
