P400e Engine Sound - Does this sound normal?

Hello!

Asking for my fellow P400e owners to confirm if this is how normal P400e sounds?

My P400e (new to me) had variable valve solenoid error codes, which I replaced (both) with the new newer ones (3 holds designs) and the error codes are now gone. However, I am not sure if this is how the engine sounds normally.

To me it has a bit of tappet like sound from the top and front of the engine and I am also concerned if it's the timing chain. No error codes in PCM. Idles fine.

There is also slight hesitation (sometimes) when setting off once warm at lights...etc (if not setting off in EV), which is why I am checking if this is normal or if I should get this professionally looked.

I've always looked after my own cars including my other TDV6 L405 but with the timing chain on this one being at the back I don't think I will have another choice if this isn't normal haha.

Thank you all for your help!

That sounds about right. Also, the hesitation at lights happens too...

That’s a massive relief. So are injectors on these really loud or something?

Thank you.
