That’s very confusing! Mine is the same spec, but I understood that was the 825w system? 🤷‍♂️

Ah, mine is 2013 so likely changed on 2019 models..

In 2013 the 825 system was standard on Vogue SE (and AB) and the signature reference system a £4,000 extra. My understanding is that this remained the case throughout the life of the 405, and only on the L460 did the signature reference system become standard on AB (except during parts of 2023 when that system was restricted to SV due to supply shortages).

There were some special 405s that had signature reference as standard, e.g. AB Black LWB. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Does anyone know why some cars on autotrader have the speakers in the roof at the front but don't have speakers on the rear backseats?

My understanding was that no speakers in the roof meant the standard 825w model but confused as to whether the ones with only the roof speakers are the 1700w or 825w

I’ve noticed the same when browsing autotrader, looks like after the final facelift in 2018 or 2019 was it? That there were no speakers in the back of the seats, but I still think if there are speakers in the roof it’s got the signature system, but happy to be corrected….

On a side note, was gonna ask in a new thread, but if you have the lower touch screens, like on the facelifts, do you still get a CD player? I looked in the 2019 brochure and it says signature with CD player….

Ah, maybe the CD is only part of the entertainment pack then, and only with DVD player for rear screens…

So if I change and go too new, I’ll have to stop being a luddite and not use CDs…

both of you are right. There are microphones - for conversation assistant and for ANC in 2.0 and SV) for 825w audio and there are speakers for signature audio 1700W - for 3d sound.
