Made It!

Well, the new(old) car made it home, safe and well.

What an effortless drive it was. I'm blown away with the car. I regret the years that I have wasted, driving others. Laughing

Performance and economy were a very pleasant surprise.

Even the wee dog was happy.

The car feels so planted, hardly any input is required on the motorway.

Yup. Superb motors. I was burnt on a P38 many years ago but have decided to give RR's another shot and recently got an L405. I get what you mean; they're just on another level.
Service regular, stay on top of maintenance and enjoy it!

Don't get used to that kind of MPG in daily Aberdeenshire life though. Yes, it's possible by sticking to long trips on the A90, but that's not practical. You're far more likely to see under 25mpg with short journeys and mixed A/B roads. Also, the indicated figure is significantly optimistic. As soon as you head westwards, you're going to encounter hills and that's when you'll find that dragging three tons to any altitude isn't a frugal option! Whistle
