Yes, it was a good second hand one, sandblasted and hot dip galvanising and it cost about as much as a new one (not that you can buy a new one anymore)

Any idea on what thickness is the steel sheeting on the d shield ? V8 or else ...

I would guess around 2mm, certainly nowhere near 3mm, could be as low as 1.5... not very helpful, sorry, you can lift it on your own, it's difficult to pick it up because of the shape but the weight is OK

I don't think the thickness of the metal would interfere with fitting, there is leeway on the mounting holes.

There are tabs with M6 captive nuts, that hold heat shields, added in various places, mostly around the "hump" area.... Pete
