Austria 2013 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Barolo Black

@Stan, @Gremlin, thank you both for the clarification Bow down Wasn't aware of having either the Aux or the Capacitor to execute this Evil or Very Mad feauture.
Last year I tried to take off the negative terminal from the aux battery but after 50 km (just took off for a 2500km round trip) I got the "restricted performance" message. After I reconnected and restarted the message disappeard and never came back again (now 10 month, 10.000km). Never been absolutely sure it was the disconnection of the aux battery which triggered the fault message, but was very happy to continue the just strarted trip with the misses next to me. Mr. Green Now I'm confident enough to disconnect again Whistle 2013 L405 3.0 TdV6 Autobiography Barolo Black

How is the cover removed please? I need to disconnect the capacitor in my MY21 until I own a Gap tool that will do the CCF change.

Thanks Stan. I had started in that area but chickened-out. I'll have another attempt tomorrow.

My 2014 L405 SDV8 came from the factory with no stop start, (thankfully) not even the switch. I have a large auxiliary battery.

I would think it is turned off at the factory in the CCF somewhere... maybe someone with an earlier fatty should look further into the CCF, if anyone does and they want to know what my CCF looks like then just shout.. Thumbs Up Pete

As Stan says, but you have to pull so hard that you think you will break it, I use the vent in the recessed bit as you can get your fingers thought the slots to get a good grip, then a sharp, violent yank straight out towards the other side of the boot....... Thumbs Up Pete

Mine probably doesn't have a capacitor as it has a 48V battery, but hopefully I'll find something to disconnect.

I've removed cargo area fuse 34 MHEV 5A. There's now a red triangle in the top right of the instrument display directly below when the stop/start icon shows but it seems that stop-start is disabled. If that's all the repercussions then it can stay that way until I decide to get a G4 IIDtool.

It was taking quite a while after engine start and seemed to require to not be in Park for the lower centre display to show the engine display then the on/off button. I'm not accustomed to taking so long to get moving so I'll be happier without that delay. I need to get happier with this car, after another stupidity this morning not being able to have a/c off without recirculation on with the temperatures set to Lo.

I tried this CCF change on my MY21.5. Whilst I forgot to set start-stop off prior to uploading the change, the change has no effect. However the IIDtool gets stuck right near the end of upload processing (DADC learning CCF), requiring the app to be killed, the tool removed and the battery to be disconnected to regain OBD access so perhaps the CCF isn't properly loaded for some modules. The change is showing as having been successful upon re-reading the CCF after the battery is reconnected. I'm advising Gap of the behaviour. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Patrick at Gap has advised that the tool incorrectly attempts to cause a non-existent module for this car to get a fresh copy of the CCF, hence the perpetual wait. Also advised is that sometimes the stop-start change can take some time to take effect, so fingers are crossed that the change will eventually work. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Mine was exactly like that too, frozen at the last step. For the rest of that day the stop start was disabled, however the next day it was back on . Not sure whether user error , will try again today . 2019 SV AB Dynamic Scafel Grey

The tool's latest s/w version incorrectly sends a message to the named module then waits for a response, but as the module doesn't exist on the L405, the app waits forever unless forced closed. The s/w will be changed to not attempt to contact this particular module on a L405.

I'm yet to discover if my car honours the updated CCF setting. Patrick advised that some vehicles don't honour the setting but others do eventually.

Edit: Mine wouldn't allow stop-start to be switched off without the engine running as suggested earlier in this thread, so I couldn't see the point trying to disable/renable it in the CCF. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Mine has started logging the following 2 DTCs since I started changing the CCF. I don't know if the displays are objecting to the start-stop change, another CCF change, simply because the CCF was updated or due to an unrelated issue. The faults will clear but return on the next start-up. Sometimes the code is 2B on both.
