4.4 tdv8 Westminster reduced performance

My first post so be kind.
I have been trying to find out why I am getting reduced performance for a few weeks now, I’ve been looking at all the post I can find. Code reader is saying it’s the turbo actuator on turbo B. Things I have done so far
1. Renew donut to inlet manifold x 4
2. New vacuum pipe to actuator
3. Smoke test to look for leaks ( none found)
4. Vacuum test on actuator

I did order a new actuator but the one that was sent was not the same as the one fitted, the one fitted looks like it is fitted with 3 torque screws from the top and location is between rad fan and front left of engine. Does anyone have the part number for the actuator. Thanks for any help.

Does the car bring up the Restricted Performance alarm at any specific engine revs, notably 2500 rpm ?.
Type CSOV in search and have a read. 👍

Yes about 2,500 revs and goes away when you turn the engine off

I have had the same issue and also the issue with a sticky CSOV.

I had a new secondary turbo actuator fitted at a specialist which cost me approx £340.

I lubricated the CSOV from above using a high quality (ZX1) lubricant and a long tube to avoid a mess.

I know make sureI use the secondary turbo on every drive where I can get the engine to operating temperature for at least 5 minutes so the oil is at temperature and not just the coolant (which heates up much quicker than the engine oil).

No more issues. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini black ivory leather

I do an oil change every 5K, this all started when I did the oil cooler so had the donut off and all was fine then had it off again to check for any leaks but had none but do have a very small weep from the new fuel filter I put on. I must of moved something but can’t find anything. Will just have to keep checking until I find it.

I had this after getting the oil cooler done but my problem was that the two pipes at the front of the engine had slipped off. If you’ve already replaced one of them, it’s unlikely to be the same problem for you.

Ok I think I have found my leak, not vacuum but pipe that comes off the turbo cross over pipe and goes to left side of engine and bolts on

It’s coming from the joint area we’re it connects to the cross over pipe can’t see if the pipe has a split in it or not but I have an exhaust gas leak from. Can anyone tell me the name of that part and the part number if possible please.

Any use?

Maybe worth disturbing the heat wrap to make sure the gasses aren't channeling up from lower down, could then be a cracked cross over pipe. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

I can feel it coming out the joint by the clamp, I ordered the joint for the other end with the two bolts on it LR022775 but can’t find a number if it has a joint/seal on the clamp end.

Now fitted new part and no gas leaks, but when I took it out for a test drive I’m still getting the same code. So I think I will take the vacuum are off the actuator and do a vacuum test on that and see what happens also do a few push tests on it to see if it stick at any point. That’s the cheep part of the job Laughing Laughing
