303-1237 & 303-1121 DIY 3D Printed tools

Hi all TDV8/SDV8 owners,

I’m currently rebuilding an SDV8 engine, and as many of you know, special tools for a DIY person can be quite expensive for a one-off job. So while working on mine, I decided to design and make my own tools where possible.

So far, I’ve designed the 303-1121 tool to fit the front seal at the correct depth into the oil pump. This tool is simply used to tap the seal into the correct position.
For the installation sleeve, I recommend buying the Elring seal—it comes with a thin installation sleeve that works well.

The second tool, 303-1237, is for installing the CPK (crankshaft position) wheel. This is a two-part tool:

Tool A positions the ring in the correct place on the crankshaft.

Tool B fits the trigger wheel to the correct depth.

The ring position for the second tool was measured by me—46 degrees as per drawing. The measurements were taken from a working engine, and I hope this is accurate.
If anyone knows this is incorrect, please let me know and I will update the design accordingly.

Both tools were 3D printed using a Bambu Lab P1S printer with ASA material at 75% infill.

I hope this helps someone and saves you a few quid.
I’ve shared the link to my Google Drive below, where you can download all the files.

Pozdrawiam,
Rafal

I stumped.up for most of the gen tools direct from Bosch, but the front seal installer was a ridiculous price, so i used this and it worked great:-
