that is one version, but the original Westfalia swan neck tow bar that was standard OEM issue was the model below, and is on my 2011 car

I've heard those style of the detachable swan-neck are not as robust as often seize in place?

I use trailers regularly so never a problem for me, I detach the towbar when I am not towing, and clean it and store it in the cubby hole on the right hand side of the boot.

Very true. I need it for towing and launching the boat so summer would see regular use but winter I'd take it off. Whatever I get will receive a healthy coating on ACF50 too |
