Looking to buy one of these it works with oe reverse cam and 4x4 functions

Im yet to collect my car can anyone advise the if the rear headrest screens work independently or rely on the front original headunit?

These Android head units aren’t fully compatible with the rear entertainment system. I installed one - rear screens didn’t work, and while the 4x4 info was available, it wasn’t the OEM version. If you have the 360 camera, accessing it on these units can also be tricky.

With this setup, the rear screens, 4x4 info, cameras, timed climate, and valet mode all continue to work as normal.

Its actually 340 delived for 8 core now

But after some thought it seems the second method is the way to go but it still looks and feels rubbish

After all the research a perfect product does not exist yet or never will

So best is leave it just add bluetooth and use your phone on a cradle

The OEM unit with carplay is actually pretty good. I've been using it for over a month now and had 0 issues.

I’ve looked into a few of those Android head units for the L322. The main thing to keep in mind is that the rear entertainment system in these cars is usually tied into the original factory head unit. That means if you pull the OE screen/brain out, the rear headrest screens often won’t function independently unless the new unit has proper integration.

Some of the better kits include a passthrough or CANBUS box so the rear screens still mirror or get video feed, but they generally won’t become “standalone” with their own source just by fitting an aftermarket front screen. If keeping the rear entertainment is important, I’d double-check with the seller and maybe ask for install photos from other buyers before pulling the trigger.

Mine has the smaller remote and headsets missing so that alone would be a few hundred to complete

There is no real way to keep it, and even if you do the screens and tech is very dated the kids all have nice tablets ill just buy them nice headphones and keep em quiet on long journeys.

Im going to be getting the 10 or 12 inch screen variants it works with oem reverse cam and 4x4 screen is maintained. There is not really any integral functions that matter as long as date and time works the rest is irrelevant to me.
