Still getting used to my new 405. It has the driver assistance pack, self parking (haven’t tried that yet) and various other tech.

However, one thing I have noticed is that if I go to full steering lock to the right, it seems to detect its own (right) front wheel and goes bananas. Can the sensors be recalibrated? 2021 3.0 P400 Vogue

Don’t suppose anyone has an answer to this please?

I don’t want to replace a parking sensor unless I know for sure it’s definitely faulty but quite frankly this is making me want to get rid of the car. Turning left is fine, turning right, the parking sensors go bonkers. I’ve experimented by covering part of and ultimately all of the sensor (the one just forward of the offside front wheel) with duck tape and it makes zero difference. 2021 3.0 P400 Vogue

It appears to be. I undid the wheel arch liner and had a jiggle. All seemed fine. 2021 3.0 P400 Vogue

No experience of the issue you describe, but I have had numerous false positives when the sensor faces corrode and delaminate, they then come on when eg reversing into an empty space. So it is possible that the car is "aware" that it is turning into the area covered by the sensor in question and the delamination then causes the false positive signal, rather than that it is "seeing" the wheel. Sometimes a piece of leaf or other debris stuck to the sensor face can cause a false positive too.

In my case the corroded sensors were replaced (some have been replaced more than once, the quality on 405s seems inferior to those used in 322 for example) and that solved it. I now make a point of washing them off with cold water every time they get covered with salt, that has been helpful, but has not eliminated the issue. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Mine were done under the LR 6yr corrosion warranty, the second time there may have been an element of goodwill arranged by the dealer as the problem had recurred in only about a year. If your car is a 2021 then maybe you could get it sorted that way ie FOC? Only Range Rovers since 1988

Sensors will be 18MY onwards if your looking for replacements? 12-18 won't work or indeed fit...
