Robot Mower

This about as off topic as you can get. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a Robot Mower it’s great but slow, it takes a few hours to do what I used to do in minutes. But now when mowing is finished my shoulders don’t hurt and neither does my back and don’t get me started on my knees ! However I still am fascinated by it and sit there watching it with a beer in hand, so my beer consumption has increased considerably but all in all it’s one of the best thing I ever bought. Geoff

Geoff, Which one did you buy?

I have also bought one (I have 900 Sq M) and mine is slow also and only does half the job before retiring for a fag break and recharge. It also doesn't like slight indents in the ground and gets a huff on and changes direction. However it doesn't need a perimeter wire (the dog kept digging the last one up! Censored ) and does an alright job.

It is a lawnmaster and was only £450.

But it does save me 2 hrs! Mr. Green

If the mower works on its own without intervention, it doesn't matter if it's slow, as long as it keeps going.

I bought the Mammotion Yuka Mini, it's the smallest one in the range so it only has a small battery and has to recharge 3 times on my back lawn. I now just set it going have a beer then get on with something else. I'm still learning it but it avoids tree, kids and dogs needs no perimeter wire (uses GPS) and as I discovered only yesterday it has headlights. And yes it just keeps going, it even returns to its base station automatically to recharge - it really is set it going and forget, if it finishes it just goes back to base and puts itself on standby. Geoff

I keep thinking about buying one, but as the missus cuts the lawn, I think, naw. Laughing
