LR019451, rear brakes and some quick queries

My ongoing quest to address all issues on my 2012 Westy continues, after sussing bonnet release cable which was kind my own fault, I thought I would investigate grinding from rear. Assumed it would be pads I was a tad scunnered to discover its the EPB shoes, the shoe pin has pulled through the back plate. lol. I am just finished dealing with this on missus's MG ZT and had to wait till specialist commissioned some new ones. Its one thing on a defunct Britsh car from 20 odd years ago but I would not expect to be struggling to get one for a RR from 2012, think the backplate part number I am looking for is LR019451 and of course cannot see it anywhere and it aint cheap where it is listed. I can probably do quick fix with washers or something but would like to locate one of these, what are the options?

I also ordered discs and pads all round, rear prop shaft and new shoes plus fitting kits, couple questions

I went for TerraFirma discs all round, drilled and grooved, I know these types of discs provoke lots of discussion but does anybody have any personal experience off the terrafirma ones? I have also gone for EBC yellowstuff pads allround so same for that.

I will do the shoes in EPB since going to take disc off (assume to actually do backplate, hub or something needs to come off, whats that like?) anyway. What is script with doing EPB shoes, do they need service mode or anything like that or is it pull battery whilst hand brake is off or fuse. I have GAP IID if they need to go to service/parked mode or anything, is there a how to for doing them?

Also is there anyway to have box in Neutral with battery off so I can rotate discs etc whilst doing them? Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance for any pointers etc

I went with ( after some discussion with my indie mechanic ) , EBC Greenstuff Pads all round, and they do the job remarkably well IMHO

If you are hill climbing in Scotland and towing big heavy 3.5 ton trailers all over the place, then there might be a reason to have Yellowstuff

+1 for the greenstuff pads.
Took a couple of hundred miles to bed in but now have a lovely bite.
I find they are very dusty though. Never had so much brake dust on the rear wheels!

I had this problem

I bought the older style ones and cut the lip off.

i dealt with it here https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic69654-45.html

in the first page of that thread theres an album that has a vid of me cutting them off and what they looked like installed.

had no issues so far. Its actually a sport Sad

Not anymore, 4.4 TDV8 now Very Happy

They ain't cheap , lol, front and rear discs and pads, fitting kit for pads for front 6 pots, handbrake shoes plus fitting kit (will need to suss something here as shoe retaining pin pulled through the backplate and no backplates available, out of stock) fuel filter and a GKN rear propshaft, grand total £1025, ouch, lol

Anyway I was thinking I will just leave hand brake released and then disconnect battery but I believe as its in park I cannot rotate wheel in case need to get to knurled adjuster?, I am seeing something about emergency park release under the cup holders that puts the transmission in neutral so can rotate wheels (may be handy to do prop also), however does this emergency release the EPB as I do not really want it to do that, just neutral. Does it release both or just transmission and the EPB is released by pull cable in the boot side compartment? I wish to not upset or disturb the EPB module as its bad enough to do on a D3 which I have done and I believe its even more of a pain to get to in L322. Mine is rotary gear selector 2012 type.

Also any tips on doing the rear shoes etc, is the bedding in thing a have to do or can you just get it there or there abouts with knurled adjusters and it will be fine? many thanks
