 My dog travels inside a dog crate. I fix up a fan, plugged into the rear cig lighter, when needed. It is aimed at the rear window, and diverts a good volume of air from the cabin into the crate.

A colleague has a 2008 Vogue and there's a button on the centre dash (below the tailgate opener) which looks like some form of air distribution to the cargo area. I'll have a look at his manual to see exactly what it's for.
