I've just returned to Range Rover ownership after a few years away and now have a nice list of slight 'concerns' to attend to. First issue is related to the radio. I have DAB obvs and it works fine when the ignition is switched off but when I fire the car up the dab signal cuts out and I get 'no reception' on every channel. When I switch the car off, the signal returns. Weird

I have read that dashcam's can cause issues for the dab system and the previous owner had one installed, but I'm really not sure if that's the problem. After looking at the passenger fusebox it looks like the feed for the dashcam is coming from an unused fuse area so it doesn't seem to piggy backing off something else. The wire then feeds up the passenger door pillar and into the headlining over to the mirror. I could pull the fuses out but a bit scared to do so I'm just really wondering if the problem could lie elsewhere? Any thoughts appreciated!

its a process of elimination so disconnect the dashcam either at the dashcam end if theres a plug or at the fusebox..just pull out the feed from the fusebox.. ... - .- -.

Yeah I've disconnected from the camera end but didn't fix it. I'm always a bit wary of messing around with anything electrical with these cars but could try and pull the fuses out (there appear to be two). Would I need to disconnect the battery for this or will it be safe to pull them out without? The wiring looks like it's wrapped around, but I don't think linked to, the wiring from the airbag so another thing that's slightly concerning me.

if you've disconnected the plug that goes into the dashcam and you still have the problem then its not the dashcam...

check the battery condition.. ... - .- -.

I'd seen a post somewhere else where somebody said that disconnecting it from the camera only may not work and it should really be done at the fuse as well. That didn't make a lot of sense right enough because if it's disconnected at one end then surely that would be enough!

I had similar issue with cheap phone charger. Some not filtered dc/dc converter will kill dab / radio.

When I bought my car, it had a non-genuine rear light fitted, and the DAB reception was terrible. I had read that non-genuine lights could have this effect, and I changed my light, and the DAB reception improved.

The aerials are in the tailgate (does it have rear dash cam feeds?) and aerial cables will probably go over head to entertainment system. Any cables run close to aerial will cause interference.
Do you have any DTC's?
The Infotainment Master Controller (IMC) can detect the connections between the tuners in the IMC and the Amplitude Modulation (AM)/Frequency Modulation (FM)/Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB)/Television (TV) antenna amplifiers. Faults in these connections will store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in the IMC.

This won't solve your issue, but when I listen to DAB, and i put the rear heated screen on, no DAB.
