The EGR is less active in cold weather so less soot buildup in the DPF. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I get similar results with my 2015 TDV6. In Summer months it's usually 120 to 150 miles between regens. In colder weather it's mostly around the 200 miles mark. I've stopped obsessively watching regens now and just let it do it's own thing, but I still check every 150 miles or so to see if it is behaving. Apparently if you don't see a message, it's working as it should.

I monitored EGR operation in cold and hot weather and the % it opens in the same driving conditions ( steady cruise) is quite different. Also in cold weather it's possible to see passive DPF in operation as the % of soot went down which never happens when it's warm and the EGR is letting more eg's circulate. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

My thoughts are the same as my last reply, if it's running well then leave it alone.
