They can crack and leak from anywhere to be honest - my right one did leak from the 'weld' at the edge closest to head, and the left one leaked from a ridge/lump at the top of the manifold. I used Britpart replacements and did both on my drive. It can be done! 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8 |

I would suspect if no one is talking about it, perhaps people resort to making a hole in the bulk head to remove the injector.......

I utilised a jack under the block to cant the engine over a bit. Utilising lots of wobble bars I got a socket on the engine mount and moved the engine up. Also had to remove the ABS module out the way etc. to get a spanner on the inside wing I also had to beat the seam a bit.

Couple of pics there showing my efforts - take a long screwdriver and put some grease on the end to clean the injector ports. Replace copper o rings when putting back in and make sure you number the injectors up!

I think this is known as the intake manifold tuning valve. I don't think it is supplied separately to the intake manifold. There is also one of these vacuum bellows that move swirl flaps on each of the left and right hand inlet manifolds/rocker covers.
