4.4 TDV8 - Front/Rear right doors wouldn´t lock/unlock...

I had the following issues in the right side:

- Windows wouldn't close
- Doors wouldn't lock or unlock with remote or button in centre
- Mirror wouldn't fold

Ordered a second hand door module replacement with identical numbers on. Fitted it and now window goes up and down, but drives side rear door doesn't lock neither does drives door and the car beeps upon locking to say door is open. Replaced module with another one and still have the same issues, also change the left door latch and door module and no changes.

In the garage software (AUTEL) the replacement modules appear with the VIN of the donor car. Do the new (old) replacement modules need to be programmed to the car? If so how do I do this? Also I´ve a IID tool.

Thanks in advance

Did you have to reprogram the BCU? Maybe BCU is damaged with the known problem of water ingress.
Now, I´m waiting for two second hand latches for front/rear right side that I bought to test...fingers crossed but I already start to search a second hand BCU...

i dont know what model or year you car is.
mine is 2005
so it might be different
no, i did not need to program the BCU
i also used an earlier model BCU and it works fine
for some months i had no problems, then out of the blue, the remote wont open the drivers door, all the other doors work fine.
i changed the BCU with the proper one, but it made no difference.
i will have to fix that one day RR 2005 4.4 petrol

I've the same fault with the passenger rear door module so currently just have it manually locked. During the summer it came back to life for 2 months and last week failed again!

When I researched it I saw information saying the L322 and the discovery 4 shared the same module but when I had one pulled from a breakers they looked the same but the numbering was slightly different

My module:
B42 14D620 AA
10020650 01

Breakers module from another car
AH22 14D620AD
10021275 00

From what I can see from the Jaguar Landover classics site, there seems to be 4 module variations for my year of car. Maybe I'm reading the site wrong but if that's the case its VIN Specific

This is the example part link for my car, would be worth looking up you car and seeing what part number you need
