3 new faults at once! Water in Fuel, dead turn signal..

OK, so 13 months into the ownership of a 2016 TDV6 3.0 I parked my car as usual last weekend with the alarm engaged.

Today after sitting for three days, I fired her up and was greeted with "Water in Fuel - See Handbook" error. Drove a few hundred meters and after taking right turn (using the signal), the green arrow blinked and clicked faster than usual (as if the relay had gone bad in older cars).

Observing the car from outside I noticed, that my RH front light unit is completely dead, so no low or high beams whatsoever. The turn signals on the mirror and rear light unit work just fine, just not the right front light. There doesn't seem to be a fuse for the headlight either? It's odd as one front light is dead but the car doesn't seem to mind...

I pulled the following new codes on my iCarsoft 3.0 which I wasn't able to reset:

P2269-68 (ECM)

Water in fuel condition

U0284-87 (ECM)

Lost communication with active grille air shutter module

B123B-15 (BCM)

Right front turn indicator circuit short to battery or open

The car drives just fine however, all other electrics work and not other errors on the dash other than the "Water in Fuel".

I had the fuel filter drained at a local (non-specialised) garage, but the problem persists. I unplugged the negative lead on the battery terminal for 30 mins and other than resetting the time and the date, no changes. I found an option to reset the "Water in Fuel" from my ICarsoft, but it does nothing.

Both batteries are healthy and in full charge, no visible rodent or water damage under the hood either. I had the ground points checked last year and they were fine.

What to do?

Problem solved.

Thank you for addressing the issue. While completely aware of it, I expected the symptoms to make the car go haywire and not just some odd faults that nobody seems to have or complain about...

The right hand ground point had separated from the body so I highjacked another hole in the proximity and all the new faults were gone!

Checked the left side too and noticed that the original bolt had been snapped off in the past...

While at it, I decided to take off the bumper too to replace the front camera. What a pain... The sturdy bolts under the car had been corroded through and managed to break the left washer jet nozzle. Couldn't glue it back on to decided to blank it (badly). During the test drive the blanking failed and everything poured out on the parking lot. Blanked it properly this time (under the wheel arch but now my parking aid doesn't work, might be washing liquid related? Everything else is just perfect!
