Different types of dab…… they introduced dab+ to enable more channels. The l322 unit only supports dab, hence why people change the dab module to the latter version. You can stream via Bluetooth and you phone, but still need data and an app. Swapping the dab module to dab+ is simple and probably £120 all in. It has its quirks turning on and off, but you can get alot more chanels, and everything else works as it should

You can - with an adapter cable. The only thing you need to do to get it to function is to select DAB on the head unit, switch the display off then on and then turn the volume knob. I did it on my old L320 and it worked fine and lots of other L320 owners have done the same.

From my experience every time you go back to dab +…..

Something to do with the software compatibility, but totally worth it imo
