Weird Camshaft adaptation values

Used the IIDTool to get the adaption values from the vehicle. Getting odd values. Anyone seen this before or has any advice on how to sort.

Camshaft Adaption Exhaust Bank 1 - 45.66 degrees
Camshaft Adaption Intake Bank 1 - 442.60 degrees, yes not a typo

442.60 degrees.

Also throwing the P0017 error - Camshaft position and crankshaft position synchronisation error.

Changed the Solenoids, both camshaft sensors - intake and exhaust and crankshaft sensor, no luck.

Car runs fine with the occasional EML coming on (Error code P0017) and then going off after driving for a while with no need for a scanner reset. Have done over 6,000 miles with this issue.

I am lost. Its the 2018 P400e 2.0l Petrol PHEV.

see picture.

Could sort of make sense in my mind ( I'd need to go reading ).

a 4 stroke engine completes 2 full rotations of the crank for a complete cycle. also a camshaft turns half the speed of the crank ... so for a 360 of the camshaft, the crank will have turned 720 ... so realistically, the system will need to think in terms of 720deg when calculating things.

for each cylinder, I'd also expect the inlet valve to activate on one 360/rotation of the crank, and the exhaust valve to activate on the other 360/rotation of the crank.

Your figures are actually saying that. Your exhaust being in the first 360 of the overall 720 cycle, and the inlet being in the second.

-----------

Given that its sporadic, and you've replaced both the sensors, could it be wiring connections / continuity being broken or interrupted rather than the sensors themselves being bad. V8 or else ...

Thanks for the response. I guess it’s not as bad as I initially thought.

Checked all the wiring and there are no obvious breaks. Only thing i can think of is the Ghost immobiliser and tracker that was installed.

Does one need to do adaptations after cam and cranks sensors are swapped out?
