I have one of these;

With a booster similar to this;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Freeview-Dig...045wt_1002

And this is wired in with the exsisting DVD system. Its not posh, but once wired up, its discreet and works well. If you are in a good digital signal area it will work whilst driving (allthough I only watch it when ever I am left waiting in the car.) Reformed

Has anyone thought about one of these babys? http://www.eonon.com/Others/Others/V0012T.html
I have a DVD in the boot but I'm getting fed up with the same kids DVD all the time. If i had this box could have cbeebies on for my son an have better programs not just the same dvd over an over. Does anyone have any other ideas? low cost is the key Thumbs Up [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

If you allready have the DVD in the boot then it is easier to install. All I did with mine was to split the RCA inputs so the DVD and Freeview box share the same inputs. Then I use the AV channel for either DVD or TV.

I played around with some different booster aerials until I found one that had good reception and works on the rear screens whilst driving. (i dont use the front screen for TV when driving allthough it is enabled)

If you are allready in an area that has done the digital changeover then reception is not to bad. Where I live, the change over is not until next year so occasionaly I do get drop outs, but to be fair its about the same with the analogue tv.

I paid a total of £70 for my digital reciever and booster aerial all though this is on an earlier 03 Range Rover. Reformed

You may need a gvif interface... Its about £199.99 with a reverse camera. Or £166 without both discounted price. Range rover td6 54 reg touch screen

Afternoon,

As luck would have it, my CD Changer has jammed; rather than replacing it with an equally dated system, I have tasked my Audio specialist to install iPod in lieu of the CD Changer.

Also, while I have some of the interior trim removed, I thought it would be most convenient to also replace the current analogue TV module to a digital free view one. The car in question is a 2002 Vogue with the original navigation system (DSP, Analogue TV, Telephone etc).

1. Is it as simple as replacing the old analogue unit with a digital one?
2. Which system would you knowledgeable chaps recommend?
3. Do I need to upgrade the Antenna?
4. Will I still be able to access it through the 'Television' mode on the HU?
5. How good or bad is the quality of the video?
6. How many channels will I receive

Thanks in advance,

the easiest thing is to buy a genuine digital tuner and it is plug and play then with nothing else to change.

i bought one from Wiggs earlier this year and it is fine, fitted a VIM unit so passengers can watch tv on the go too. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Thanks for the prompt response, do you have a part number?
And rough cost?

Your help is much appreciated.

this link is for the thread where Wiggs was selling them. they were £300 which seems expensive, but that is a quarter of the L/R price!!! and as i said nothing to change and plug and play.

have a read and give Wiggs a shout.

they alaso pop up on ebay every now and then. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Stu, how is the reception with the oem digital tuner
You bought from wiggs. As its a plug and play your using the
Original car analoge areial i assume.

Iv bought the same freeview as reformed has got but the areial needs upgrading As the picture is bad when your on
The move. if i cant figure Out how to connect to original car areial then i may
Also buy a booster also like his. Range rover td6 54 reg touch screen
