Before someone else jumps in how good is the battery?

If its a bit low from the cranking that you have tried try a charger on it for a bit and try again. IIRC you should here the pumps prime when you put the ignition to the run position but may need ot have the door open to hear them and be in a quiet area Smile

If that works check that the alternator is giving out enough juice.

Battery would be the first thing to check, closely followed by the secondary fuel pump under the car, then the fuel pump in the tank.

I don't ever recall hearing anyone having an immobiliser problem with a FFRR

Just a thought, is anything electrical on the car working?
Try your headlights.

I would imagine the cable that serves the rear fusebox is fused. Find the fuse, find the fault?

If it was the fuel pump (secondary) the symptoms are stuttering and loss of power but still driveable. Discovery 4 HSE
