If you buy wheels with TPMS valves, what do you need to do to make the car talk to them - anything? Geoff

As a rule - the TPMS sensors should set up a connection with your car automatically (self programming) - I believe the system resets itself after you have started and driven the car a few times - if the wheels have been removed or swapped around the car for any reason - including the spare wheel.

I would have thought a car of your spec should have TPMS fitted as standard equipment - so if it is not working then it probably needs to be plugged into a reprogramming / diagnostic fault code reader gizmo to find out whats not working Neutral

However, its more than likely that they wont reconnect and it wont work.

I bought new wheels with new sensors and the TPMS module will not recognise them and I'll be damned if I am going to give the dealers £150 to stop a little orange light flashing.

I generally tend to notice if I have a puncture, I don't need a light to tell me its all gone wrong.

A piece of black insulation tape over the light obscures it nicely. Discovery 4 HSE
