Yep, Storey's video make it look easy - his car hasn't had ten years of English weather/climate. See how floppy and pliable his inner wheel arch is due to Colorado temperatures! And did he spend 3 hours cleaning up the wheelarch before starting to make the video

Thanks for this, will be invaluable to owners of the earlier L322 models as things like this start to become more regular issues and people with good DIY ability can tackle this type of task

My recommendation is to go down to a motor factors and buy a decent breaker bar, I bought one simply for getting the wheel nuts off mine, it made a difficult task easy as anything.

All jobs are made much simpler by having the right power tool or hand tool.

Finally got to the bottom of this.

Do not release pressure until you have jacked up the car



Either disconnect the battery

or

Remove fuse 57 (Air Suspension)

Tools: 12mm open ended spanner


1. For the drivers side (UK/RHD)
The lower of the two yellow airlines (Marked as 22 on the cross link valve)
Gently release pressure (wait for gentle hiss then walk away for ten minutes)



2. For the passenger side (UK/RHD)
The nearer of the two black airlines (Marked as 11 on the cross link valve)
Gently release pressure (wait for gentle hiss then walk away for ten minutes)

Now I know I am going to waste half a day tomorrow fiddling the inner wheel arch back in.

Unless its a really warm day, suggest softening up the rear of the arch (by the door) and just undo the bolts underneath, and whatever is needed to gain access to the cross-link valve block. Watch Storey's video on youtube to see how .... .

Did you have to re calibrate any height sensors?

The car's not complaining by giving any messages, haven't reconnected the All Comms yet to see if any faults are there, and need to go and find some level ground to check the heights. I will run a calibration using the All-Comms soon though.

The HDC Inactive warning has come back though, maybe a drive around will sort this one out. .
