Yes, it is a thing, my tailgate has had to be repositioned a couple of times because it was rubbing on the sides, not that difficult/expensive to do, but disappointing it is needed at all.

When booking my 6y service (61,000 miles) I asked about gearbox oil change and was told that LR's schedule was 100,000 miles. I might aim to get it done at the next service, so maybe 75,000 miles.
