L405 - can you spot a car with a deployable tow bar?

Hi all.
I'm starting to look at an L405 to replace my L322. It seems that very few on Autotrader list the deployable towbar, and I'm unsure whether that is because very few have it, or just that it doesn't get listed...

So my question is: are there any telltale signs to look for that will indicate the presence of a towbar? (Aside from actually being able to see it deployed, obviously!). I'm looking at cars around 2017 / 2018 ish.

Another thought... was there ever a manually removable towbar, such as on the L322, or just the electric one?

Thanks in advance.

You can tell by the switch pack in the right hand side of the boot . The trim in the bumper also has a cut out too . Detachables have the cut out too. 2019 SV AB Dynamic Scafel Grey

Re: L405 - can you spot a car with a deployable tow bar?

I completed my similar search about 2 months ago: you can add " tow bar" into the key word drop down option on Autotrader, that does a good job of flitering in the cars that have it. Many list as having the tow bar preparation but that's a separate option, it doesn't mean they have the bar as well. As above, the tell tails are the buttons in the boot, & the cut out below the bumper. In my experience, it depends which engine you want, the big petrols tend not to have it, whereas with the diesels it's more common; but there are a lot more diesels in the first place, of course.

There is a farmer's hitch removable towbar option, at least up to MY 2017, mine has that. It's quite a bit cheaper to retrofit and no problem with seizure, though rust needs to be cleaned off the armature if it's not used regularly. Only Range Rovers since 1988
