The engine will only go into limp mode or show fault codes when a problem is detectable! If the split hose is not loosing or gaining enough boost then it won't detect it yet sir...

Both of them got replaced just before I purchased it .
It’s definitely engine or gearbox related because it sounds different even before pulling away . |

It’s done 74k so not high mileage for its age (2010) , but did around 8000 miles in the 7 months leading up to this problem, and was fault free .

I have a 4.4 tdv8 and it’s loading its DPF following a regen in about 50 miles and sensible steady driving.
Not sure if it’s related but it was fine before having a service …
