As far as I'm aware they are the same.
The only difference is the Servotronic valve, but that can be swopped with your original.

For info Lemforder were the Original Equipment supplier for the bushes - so as good as they get & definitely a lot better than some of the pure aftermarket suppliers.

Its odd that your medium Disklok doesn't fit. That's the size I used on my 2007MY TDv8 - on the middle setting.
I wonder if pre-facelift steering wheels were chunkier or lot larger diameter ??

There's no difference either way. Critical is to have the car level - which might be more likely with the lift dependant on the surfaces you've got available.

A 3rd option is to replace the EGR with a through pipe, but leave the removed EGR connected to the wiring.
