I've used the Factory ZF Fluid in the past and just did a service with LiquiMoly Top-Tec 1800 and haven't noticed a difference.

Is the roller to open and close the vents backlit? I can't remember off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure it is. Maybe it's a connector for that?
