I always thought that the L405 cable was just to retract the tailgate and that the hinge acted to stop it moving past the horizontal.
Those little wires really don't look up to it do they! |

Oh I agree, and having seen that will use C-4.
The only point I was making was that the Land Rover spec WSS-M2C924-B is an A-5 oil, which C-3 exceeds. |

Changed my transfer case and diff oils and it cured it on mine.
Dead easy job to do as well if you have an oil pump.
Even I stayed clean! |
