First I'm going to say I have no experience with the 3.6 and it's Turbos.
However
I do know turbo's can be damaged by over-speeding - which you suspect happened to the new Turbo.

I thought it’s the car that levels via the air suspension, thus the headlights don’t need any self levelling system - they are always level.
If they are too low then they probably need adjusting ...

I don't know for sure but I'd start by checking the basics.
My old Disco 3 started misfiring when the fuel filter needed changing one time - I don't recall there being any error codes.

The only way to apply the posted voltages is to remove the battery from the car, charge it, then leave it a while say a day - then measure.
