both have the same symptoms, ie no drive.
Have you had a smell of burning oil?
If the diff goes you lose drive 100%
With the gearbox it can take a couple of miles to go.... and depending on h ... |

If Land Rover play silly  and do not do the work under warranty, speak to Ashcroft transmissions. They do a repair kit, i think, that is a fraction of the price of a new diff. ... |

Front Diff. it may have been replaced in the past:-
However only relatively recently (18 ish months) did they develop a replacement that worked. If this is the case Land Rover should repair FOC.

I have had 5 gearboxes in 110000 miles on a TD6. 
A recon gearbox, fitted is about £1600.00 (Landrover charge about £5000!!) |
